I came to the U.S. believing in the American Dream, but what I found was a country where wealth and poverty, opportunity and inequality coexist on the same city blocks.

Solo in the Loop captures solitary figures in Chicago’s Loop. For me, the Loop is both subject and metaphor—the core of Chicago where order meets chaos and beauty meets despair.

Through these images, I invite viewers to look closer—to notice the solitude, resilience, and quiet struggles that reveal the deeper story of America.
